History

Himachal Adarsh Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya jangla is situated near the gleaning river Mathrate emerging from the Moral Peak and joining the depth of sacred river Pabbar which touches the enchanting mantras of Adarsh Skt. Mahavidyalaya with its sheering sounds endowed with spiritualism and depicts the purity of college atmosphere itself. The Mahavidyala seems to be gift of “Goddess Bhima kali” standing in the college campus with the literary pulchritudinous alluring touch of her power. Its stands with proud by its staunch dignity in the lap of Ransar valley which is known for its scenic and serpentive beauty and is 125 Km. far from Shimla Dist the capital of H.P it is bestowed by the elegancy of the magical beauty of Rohru town in its west and is surrounded by the marble layering of snow covered peaks of Kailash.

Himanchal Adarsh sanskrit Mahavidyalaya Jangla was established in the year 1974 in which the founders of the Mahavidyalaya. Sh. Parma Nand Shastri and co-founder Late Sh.Lachhman Dass Sharma, (FOrmer Pardhan Gram Panchayat Jangla), Sh. Surat SinghRawat (Former Manager of the Management Committee Of Skt. College Jangla) Sh. Surat Ram sharma ex B.P.O Chirgaon Sh. Sunder Singh Kalyan , Sh. Gopal Singh Sharma and Sh. Pritham dev Delwan Active Sect. of Sanskrit Sanskriti sewa Sangh Jangla and other great personalites played a praise worthy role of giving an unique identity to the college with their remarkable efforts.

The Mahavidyalaya has been affiliated/Associated by H.P/ University on 24-10-1975 and has been undertaken by Govt. of India (Ministry Of Human Resource Development) Under the scheme of Adarsh Subjects like vayakarna. Sahitya, Ved / Karm-kand Jyotish , Darshan along with the modern subjects like English Hindi and Political Science are taught here from Prak Shastri- I to Acharya Classes.
